Competitive Figure Skating Program and Private Lessons Schedule Information

The Ice Centre is offering a figure skating schedule that we feel will accommodate all of our figure skaters.

We have level based sessions as well as the more open level sessions and there will be both 45 minute and 60 minute session lengths. Please see our current figure skating schedule below to see all the available figure skating sessions.  The cost for a 45-minute session is $10.25 and a 60-minute session is $12.75.

All skaters will register for the available sessions online.

All skaters must have their own figure skates and be in figure skating attire.

For the safety of all of our skaters, we ask that skaters follow a freestyle traffic pattern while skating on our freestyle sessions.  CLICK HERE to see the traffic pattern diagram that we follow.

The Ice Centre will periodically send out emails regarding our figure skating program.  If you are currently not on our email list and would like to be included, please email us at icefrontdesk@hylandhills.org and we will get you added.

Summer Figure Skating Schedule

The Summer Figure Skating Schedule will begin on Tuesday, May 26th and it is listed below.

During the summer, you will see some extra on-ice options that we offer.  Listed below is a small description of these and skaters will register the same as the freestyle sessions.

  • Summer Figure Skating Schedule – Begins Tuesday, May 26th! – Schedule Now Available!  CLICK HERE

  • Exhibition Ice – Skaters have the opportunity to sign up to perform one program in our weekly summer exhibitions.  Registration opens on Mondays at 10:00am online for the current week.  Space is limited and it is first-come, first-serve.  Skating order will be posted on Wednesday afternoon.

  • Edge Class – Skaters will move in a group while incorporating turns in both directions with an emphasis on edge work, control, body awareness, line and ease of movement.  Instructor:  Coach Robyn or Coach George

  • Power Class – Get ready to get your legs moving, your heart pumping and let the adrenaline glide you around the rink in this powerful class.  Instructor:  Coach Diana

Summer Adjusted Figure Skating Schedules

Throughout the summer, we will need to follow an adjusted figure skating schedule on some dates to accommodate our rink schedule and those dates are all noted on the schedule.  We will post schedules as we have them available.

The next adjusted dates are Friday, June 12th (Hockey Tournament) and then Friday, June 19th (Hockey Camp) and both schedules are now available and listed below.

Registration

  • We will post two weeks at a time on the registration page and all sessions will remain available for purchase up until the start of the session.
  • Please note that with offering all these different session types and lengths, skaters will have to select the different options from the drop down menu to see what is all available for each session type and length throughout the week.
  • It will default to only showing one session type at a time.

  • Be sure to select your session type – on the registration page, please make sure to use the drop down menu under “Select Session Type” to see all the available sessions for purchase.

  • When creating a new online account, please use parent/guardian’s information and then add family members/skaters to your account.

*** Skaters interested in dropping in for the Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Academy Aspire Program – Register below and select “RMFSA Class Drop-in” from the select session type menu or you can pay at the front desk prior to getting on the ice.

Resident Pricing Information

The Ice Centre at the Promenade is part of the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District family of facilities. Skaters who reside within the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District or the City of Westminster are eligible to receive discounted rates on some of our programming here at the Ice Centre. We are now ready to implement resident discount pricing on our figure skating freestyle sessions.
